Access the Key to Becoming a Superior Fighter!

What essential quality do all champion fighters possess? Simple. They possess the attribute responsible for making all combat training applicable–speed.

Regardless of your combat style or method…you cannot apply it unless you can react quickly and respond instantly. Razor-sharp speed and reflexes are often the sole difference between winning and losing a physical confrontation.

Based on proven concepts of martial arts masters, such as Bruce Lee, this bestselling guide provides advanced training methods to maximize speed and power for combat and self-defense.

Learn The 7 Keys to Superior Fighting Speed…

1. Visual Reflexes: Exceptional visual reflexes allow you to recognize, track, distinguish, adapt to, and counter movements with precision and confidence.

2. Tactile Reflexes: Learn to instantly feel what the opponent is attempting to do by quickly interpreting the direction of his body force. Ninety-five percent of all fights end up in close range. Be prepared!

3. Auditory Reflexes: It is important to react quickly to what you hear. If you have ever experienced blind sparring, or fighting in the dark, you know the importance of this attribute.

4. Adaptation Speed: This component deals with your mind’s ability to instantaneously select the perfect action in response to an attack or opening. Learn to respond quickly, accurately, and seemingly without thought.

5. Initiation Speed: It’s not how fast you move, but how soon you get there that really counts. Train yourself to make your movements felt before they are seen.

6. Movement Speed: Movement speed is the ability to quickly transfer part or all of your body from one place to another. It is the speed that is most recognized by the public at large. Don’t be concerned with “demonstration” speed. Focus on developing the “applied” speed that will help you overwhelm and subdue an opponent in seconds.

7. Alteration Speed: Learn to quickly change directions in the midst of movement. Through mastery of body mechanics, you can develop the ability to stop your movement instantly…just in case you initiate a wrong move.

Most people think of MMA fighting as the rawest, most violent form of fighting there is, but that isn’t really true. There are moves that are so street lethal that they are banned in the MMA fights, but now you can learn these mixed martial arts techniques thanks to an instructor that decided to work them into his self defense program.

Click Here to Learn Mixed Martial Arts Techniques

When it comes to meeting an attacker on the street you can’t depend on luck to get you through it, and we all know that criminals and thugs don’t fight fare so why should you be any different? They were the ones that attacked you in the first place, so why should you have to suffer?

Head butts are one of the banned moves, obviously because of the brain damage that can occur. If you’ve ever hit your head on anything you know that it can be so painful you can’t move or think for a while, but you can train your mind to block out this pain and instead hurt your opponent.

If you aren’t tall enough to deliver a head butt you have another option. You can kick your attacker in the groin, of course in order to do this correctly you have to know where the pressure points are and how to kick them. This move is great and you can teach it to your kids, even they will be able to defend themselves with this accurate and easy move.

Mixed martial arts techniques are great for anybody to learn because it makes you better able to protect yourself when you need to. They are so easy to master that anybody can do it, and you can even make the lessons into a family event.

There are many rewards for training in mixed martial arts, whether you are doing it for fitness, to learn self defense or have plans at being a serious competitor. Your overall progress depends greatly on how you train. You will be more likely to achieve your MMA training goals with the tips that follow here.

If you are going to be serious about your mixed martial arts training, you should get the right clothes and equipment.

Having the right equipment includes not just gloves and head guards, but also comfortable training clothes. You will be better able to focus and you will feel more professional with these items, so while they won’t make you a better fighter themselves, they will help. Because they have committed enough to buy the specialized clothing and equipment, this often identifies the serious competitors. When you can’t get to the gym, it is helpful to have the right equipment at home, such as weights or a jump rope. Getting the equipment as you can is beneficial because having it will help you progress faster in your MMA training.

Grappling is usually the first thing that comes to mind when most people think about mixed martial arts. Striking and kicking techniques are also a must when you want to be well rounded. MuayThai kickboxing is a great method for learning powerful strikes and kicks in a cardio workout way. Another good method for learning these skills is either boxing or karate. Increasign your speed and perfecting your technique can be done with the help of a sparring partner, heavy bag or shadowboxing by your self. If you wnat to become successful as an MMA fighter you will want to have both ground and stand up techniques.

With this sport you need a variety of skills meaning that you need to train in a variety of ways, which adds to the challenge of the sport. You need to focus on strength training, among other skills. Obviously you need martial arts skills, but also speed, cardiovascular fitness and speed. Because you are usually competing against people in your own weight division, a difference in strength can give you a needed advantage. Various forms of strength training should always be part of your MMA training for this reason.

It takes alot of effort to take advantage of all that Mixed Martial Arts has to offer. What we’ve discussed here can be helpful in your endeavors to speedup your progress but they are not meant to be a substitute for your training. How far you go with mixed martial arts totally depends on your dedication.

So you want to be a cage fighter do ya? Then you need a great mixed martial arts training program. As a mixed martial artist you must incorporate different types of training to succeed. But what the heck do you need to train anyway? Well you want to incorporate a workout that will improve your strength and your anaerobic capacity. This helps your body cope without oxygen (when you start “gassing out”). As a MMA fighter you also need a workout that will help improve your functional strength. You need strength to help defend against the takedowns and to develop punching power. We will talk in detail about a few reminders to help you find a mixed martial arts training program for you.

For your inside the cage mixed martial arts training you’ll need:

Aerobic capacity; helps your body process and transport oxygen to working muscles
Anaerobic capacity; is your body’s ability to function without oxygen
Functional strength; to use your strength efficiently in real-world activities or sports
Power; your overall strength
Muscular endurance; your body’s ability to last long periods of physical activity

A modern martial artist must include these key inside the cage training tactics. You must be ready for your opponent at all times and having great mixed martial arts workout training can be the key to your success. The key to going the distance in the cage is to be able to endure until the last round. To be able to give it your all the way to the finish. To be able to explode at the last moment, and still have the energy to finish the fight. That is what having the proper mixed martial arts training program can do for you. If you are not conscious of your training program it could mean disaster when you’re inside the cage!

Mixed martial arts training is crucial to your success as a cage fighter. You should be constantly evolving your workouts. And incorporate the best training you can find into your workout. www.martialartsworkouts.info

Mixed martial arts (MMA) has certain rules in competition matches for the protection of the fighter, so that he may continue to pursue MMA fitness when the match is done. These rules largely pertain to the fighters’ safety.

Before the UFC there were virtually no rules and a fight could get so bloody that that its critics called it human cockfighting. Definitely in those times, knowledge and conscientiousness about MMA fitness were not a priority.

Perhaps a version of this bloody fighting can be seen in the film “Sherlock Holmes”, where Sherlock deliberates over what body parts he will strike his enemy at, making use of his medical knowledge to determine the most vulnerable parts and inflicting damage on his opponent including three broken ribs.

Here is a list of techniques that are usually not allowed in official competitions due to the high risk of injury:

The headbutt. This was frowned upon and is usually forbidden because with minimal effort, a match can get extremely bloody. The headbutt allows wrestlers to quickly bring down the opponent to the ground, without the wrestler needing to alter their own position.
Eye gouging. This is a good self defense technique, not just against a human assailant but against animal assaults, too. But in UFC matches they have been thumbed down. Eye gouging involves pressing or tearing the eye with your fingers or other instruments. The UFC disallowed eye gouging because of the high risk of eye injury including permanent eye damage, which would obliterate hopes for future MMA fitness.
Hair pulling. Certainly, MMA fitness is possible after the match, but this is frowned upon nonetheless and as one person said, it is so second grade.
Biting. That is so second grade too. Of course, in real life if nail biting would spell the difference in self preservation, it is okay to act like second grader.
Fish-hooking. This involves inserting fingers into the mouth, nostrils or other open body parts of a person so that you can pull and tear the tissue within. This is forbidden because of the high risk of permanent face and/or orifice damage.
Attacking the groin. There are a lot of nerves in the groin so there is quick pain. Also there is danger of breaking the pubic bone causing physical disability.
Striking the back of the head or spine. The spine is where all the nerves are, including the spinal cord which is protected in the spinal canal. In the past there used to be rabbit punches, where a blow was aimed at the base of the skull. This can damage the cervical vertebrae and spinal cord and at its worst, can cause death.
Striking the trachea. Because the trachea connects to the larynx, which allows air into the lungs, this can block air. It is very dangerous and frowned upon.
Small joint manipulation. In grappling, this may involve grabbing two fingers or toes, and then twisting, pulling or bending them in joint locks.

Other things you may not do:

In an MMA match, the ring is the X spot. You may not deliberately toss your opponent out of the ring.
You may not run out of the ring.
You may not purposely hold the ring ropes.
You may not grab or place a hand inside the trunks of the opponent. Use your imagination if you need an explanation.
If your opponent is on the ground, you may not strike his head using your knee.

Mixed martial arts is a modern sport composed of various fighting styles and techniques. Judo and Karate are just two of these martial arts styles. What unique characteristics do Judo and Karate offer to MMA and its practitioners?

Karate is one of the most well practiced forms of martial arts all over the world. It is a combat sports which originated from indigenous fighting methods in Japan. This fighting style proved to be effective when it comes to hand chops, strikes, and blows. In particular, it is known for moves like punching, kicking, knee and elbow strikes, as well as open-handed techniques such as knife-hands. Furthermore, some schools teach grappling, locks, restraints, throws, and vital point strikes.

Some of the notable MMA fighters who apply Karate in their craft are Chuck Liddel, Lyoto Machida, and Georges St. Pierre. Liddel has extensive background in Kenpo, and Koei-Kan, Machida practices the style of Shotokan, and St. Pierre knows Kyokushin. However, Karate is not as widely used in the field of mixed martial arts compared with Jiu Jitsu forms such as Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Nevertheless, Karate’s contribution to MMA cannot be discounted as seen from the personalities who employ Karate in their fighting techniques.

Judo is also a modern fighting from that was created in Japan. The most prominent feature of this style is how a fighter throws or takes down his or her opponent to the ground. Judo is also known for grappling techniques that immobilize one’s opponent. Strikes and thrusts using the hands and feet are not a major part of Judo but are still incorporated in some techniques.

Like Karate, Judo is also over shadowed by jiu jitsu techniques. However, it is important to note that BJJ and other forms of jiu jitsu originated from Judo. Several fighters like Fedor, Shonie Carter, Rodrigo Nogueira, and Shiya Aoki are known to practice this fight technique. Judo specialists, on the other hand, include personalities like Karo Paryisan, Hidehiko Yoshida, Yoshihiro Akiyama, Tsuyoshi Kohsaka, and Manny Gamburyan. They have been using Judo due to its effectiveness on groundworks and armlocks.

Again, while not as popular as others, when it comes to the field of mixed martial arts, Judo has contributed a significant number of good throws and trips to the world of sports fighting.

The growth and development of Judo players in MMA cannot be discounted even by top fighters. The growth of judo as well as the infusion of top judo players is just another example of the fact that MMA is continuously evolving.

Of course, a serious fighter will not settle for just one or two styles. So for all those interested in the modern sport of mixed martial arts, it is still highly recommended that you have a diverse training background in various fighting styles. This will give you more skills, forms, and techniques which will increase your chances of winning over your opponent.

No Holds Barred’, ‘Cage Fighting’, ‘Ultimate Fighting’, ‘Pride Fighting’, ‘Sougo Kakutog’i, ‘Vale Tudo’; these are some of the names given to mixed martial arts or ‘MMA’. So what is it and where does it come from? From earliest recorded time men have engaged in conflict. Sometimes this was serious and at other times it was for fun and competition. Pankration was one of the first formalised body contact matches of strength in Greece, and was an ancient Olympic Games sport. This had many parallels with modern MMA. It combined wrestling and grappling skills with striking skills. During the rise of the Roman Empire, captured Greek slaves became prized teachers and tutors to the boys from wealthy Roman families. These slaves took with them, together with their culture, knowledge of the sciences and philosophy, their skills in armed and unarmed combat. Among these was their pankration and Greco-Roman wrestling. Also in ancient times, in the East, various types of unarmed combat were being taught to soldiers in case they lost their weapons in the heat of battle. Ju-Jitsu was part of the Samurai Warrior’s preparation in Japan. It is believed that elements of Ju-Jitsu date right back about 2500 years in ancient China. It uses a technique of conserving energy and reflecting aggressive moves back to the attacker. It became popular all over the world and in Brazil it developed into ‘vale tudo’ the beginning of mixed martial arts in the Americas. Judo ‘the gentle way’ was indeed developed as a gentle way of subduing opponents. It involved throwing them to the ground or holding them helpless in various grips and grapples without necessarily hurting them. Many of these ‘grapples’ and throws have been incorporated into the far from gentle MMA techniques. In Europe during the 1800′s, boxing became extremely popular. After a time people who were both wrestling and boxing enthusiasts wondered how these experts would fare against one another. Entering the mix, came the martial arts from the East and gradually MMA was born. An early type of mixed martial arts was called Bartitsu. It was founded in London just before the turn of the nineteenth century. It is the first known combination of East and West style martial arts. It combined boxing, kick-boxing, judo and ju-jitsu as well as French stick fighting. It started off as a free for all, no holds barred kind of competition. Each proponent of his own fighting style competed against fighters of other styles. Very soon, however, the people partaking of this sport realised that they needed to be proficient in more than just their own style, say boxing, wrestling, or ju-jitsu. As the mma training methods widened and the fighters became more versatile, it became clear that rules and standards were necessary for the game. The great Bruce Lee was famous for his belief that a good combatant did not follow any particular style of martial arts, but was adaptable to his opponent and was able to develop his own style.

To get good at mixed martial arts, you have to train in various ways and work hard. The best MMA fighters train in various different techniques and ways. Use the following tips and strategies to improve your MMA skills and to get more out of your training.

The right clothes and equipment is a good idea if you’re really serious about your mixed martial arts training.

This means getting gloves and head guards as well as comfortable training clothes. By themselves these items won’t make you a better fighter, but they help by allowing you to focus more and help you feel more professional. Serious competitors can be identified most often by the commitment represented in their specialized clothing and equipment. It can also help to have the right training equipment at home, such as weights, jump rope or an exercise machine for when you aren’t at the gym. It can be important to pick up equipment when you can as it can help you make faster progress in your MMA training.

When practicing at a mixed martial arts gym or martial arts school, be sure to train with a variety of people. Make a point of training with those who are more experienced and skillful than you. Be careful that you don’t train with those at the same level or lower in an effort to maintain control. Those who are at a higher level than you will help you improve the most. They’ve been where you are, so if you’re respectful and show them you’re willing to learn, they will most likely be willing to help you. Sparring with other skilled martial artists will show you the areas that you need to improve on. To help take your skills to the next level, training with better fighters is a great option.

You should train mercilessly if you want to meet your goals in mixed martial arts, but you also need some down time. Every individual has his or her own level of resilience, however it is crucial for you to take a break at least once or twice every week. If you overtrain, you risk injuries and might burn yourself out. It is vital for you to give your body some mending time, as it needs to build itself back up again. This is a principle that applies to all sports and conditioning.

If you want to get faster, stronger and have better techniques, train as much as you can, but take regular rest days as well. This will let you go farther as time passes and transform you into a greater MMA competitor. You won’t progress in mixed martial arts without plenty of time and effort. Work out as hard as you can but be careful so you can avoid as many injuries as possible. You can begin to see greater improvement to your MMA skills with these tips.

I honestly believe that one of the reasons why mixed martial art is still surviving as a business is because of how it is prioritized. Time management is a cliché that we have so often abused yet when it comes down to the truth, it all boils down to priorities.

Mixed martial art is a priority for practitioners because they are aware of its benefits and have committed an hour or two everyday to train. Mma schools Oswego has reported that their most loyal clients never fail to attend a class. This is actually despite their hectic schedules. Although some instructors have said that some of their students come in late, those numbers do not represent the entire mma classes Oswego.

A sense of dedication is not enough. Actions should also be leaning toward that sense of dedication. If a person says “I love martial arts” but then neglects to attend the Mixed Martial Arts Training Oswego, do you believe him? Say, he has lots of reasons why he was absent on several occasions, do that testify how committed he is? We’re not saying that you should make mixed martial art your entire life; just make it part of your life.

To assist you in trying to figure out your priorities, ask yourself: “If I don’t do this, will I lead the kind of life I’ve always wanted?” Your answer to this one, simple question would allow you to know your priorities. Another clue would be enumerating the pros and cons of everything that you do. Why have you enrolled in mma schools Oswego? What are the benefits that you’ve experienced as a student of mma? Do these advantages offset the disadvantages? Or is it the other way around? Think it over.

I understand that we cannot extend the 24 hours a day to 25 hours or more. That is a fact we cannot deny. So instead of wishing for a day to last longer, divert your thoughts to what activities should you include in your routine to make everyday better? Write down all the possibilities that come to mind. Next, weigh each option based on their pros and cons. This process is called the elimination of the weakest to give way to the most important activities.

If after having done all these, you still haven’t figured out your daily priorities, then perhaps it already has something to do with the training that you’re having. What inspires you to attend Mixed Martial Arts Training Oswego? What makes you not attend it? Maybe it has something to do with the distance of the dojo from your home or office. Perhaps that has caused you an inconvenience.

Another possibility is that the class you’ve enrolled in is too advanced for you. Chances are you chose this class despite the protests from your instructors or your instructors committed an error. This is something that can still be addressed by talking to your instructors discreetly.

Including the mma classes Oswego in your list of priorities means that you acknowledge its importance in your life and that you have translated your initial desire to train in mixed martial arts to action.
